Change is good. But sometimes, it’s hard to implement, when getting from here to there seems like a daunting task. If you’re not contented with the way things are going, it might be the right time for you to try something new, starting now. If you want to grow as a person and be happy, consider the following tips to transform yourself. 


1. Have a goal


Always have a goal — whether it's buying a home, going on a trip abroad, or fulfilling a career ambition. Having something to look forward to keeps you motivated and prevents you from just drifting along. You need to have a purpose in life. With determination and the right attitude, you can achieve your goals and transform your life.


2. Love yourself


Find qualities in yourself that you like. When you learn to love yourself, you will be happy and at peace. It will boost your self-esteem and self-respect, and your insecurities will disappear. You will take better care of yourself in all aspects, including your personal appearance and health.


3. Change your job


If you're not happy with your job, consider a shift in career. The workplace is where people spend a substantial proportion of their time, so it is important to be as happy there as you can be. The only thing preventing you from finding something that you will enjoy more is you. If you put as much energy into finding a new job as you do into complaining about it, it can change your life for the better.


4. Change your outlook


If you always think of negative thoughts, that’s exactly how you’ll feel. If you can be more optimistic and put aside negative thoughts, that can reflect in how you feel about life in general. 5. Find a new hobby

Cooking, baking, painting, playing musical instruments, writing – any of these can bring you happiness, and who knows, may become a regular part of your life. Many people end up following a career path related to their hobby. So check online if there are lessons/classes that can help you get started.


6. Do volunteer work


Volunteer work can make you feel good about yourself while doing something to help others. It's also a nice opportunity to meet other people. There are lots of things that you can do. For example, you can sign up for a local non-governmental organization. Or, you could allocate a few hours every month to do charity work in your community. Realizing you are more fortunate than others can have a profound and lasting effect on you.


7. Let go of anger


While anger is a normal emotion, you cannot let it linger. If that happens, you may make bad decisions. It can also affect your health. Studies show that pent-up anger can cause digestive problems, sleeping difficulty, and even heart disease. To help you let go of anger, write your feelings down, meditate, and start managing your thoughts. Learn to forgive and let go of resentment. Forgive to release yourself from the negative experiences of the past.


It’s never too late to change. All that’s needed is to convince yourself that you can do it. Take baby steps in the beginning, then work progressively towards achieving your goal. Believe, commit, and do your best. In the end, your efforts and hard work will be rewarded.
